Machine learning and data science are advancing rapidly, and providing new tools that could make it easier to for us to forecast oncoming changes to our lands and climate.
Implementing these changes, however, requires skills that span data science and domain expertise.
My projects (see posts below) include:
- Building a surrogate of a widely-used sea ice model
- Using a GAN to simulate the encroachment of sand dunes on cropland
- Identifying high-impact uses of machine learning for climate science
